Dr. Lightsmith obtained her PhD and BSc degrees from the University of Manitoba and undertook postdoctoral studies in the Department of Education at Imperial College, and Department of Advanced Education at the University of Alberta. She maintains a strong interest in pure and applied research, education development and the applications of Science and Technology for the benefit of Canadians. Judith is the author or co-author of publications in the areas of K-12 Education and classroom management.
